Lincoln believed in the FEDERAL government over the STATE governments hence wanting to preserve the union. Today some republicans, especially in Texas, want to secede from the union.

Lincoln also said “What is conservatism? Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried”
and when referencing Capitalism “These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert, to fleece the people”

Because we all know bashing Conservatism and Capitalism is a Conservative ideal right?

Every time a democrat is elected, yet they neglect the damage their own party has done.

Obama has been in office for 2 years, and the USA is still here. Technically speaking, the USA is doing better than it was when he took office.

Yet in post after post, answer after answer, Republicans claim that the USA will be destroyed.

Why do they say that, when they have been saying it for decades and America is still here.
